Erin McCallum

Principal

Erin brings more than 30 years of public- and private-sector experience in fundraising and advocacy. A respected leader in the nonprofit and political fundraising communities, she excels at engaging and motivating campaign leaders and volunteers to secure lead and major gifts, while directing every part of the fundraising and advocacy effort.

She has helped organizations of every size, start-ups included, advance their development programs, working closely with board members, volunteers and staff to hit goals on time and on budget. Her strengths in strategic planning, team building, major gifts, sponsorships, special events and direct mail have earned her a strong regional reputation, and her ease with diverse audiences is a real asset to clients.

Erin started BA$ICS by McCallum in 1998, while raising her three children, so she could balance motherhood with continuing to serve the community. The firm grew, helping nonprofits and their boards meet capital, annual operating and special project goals. In 2005 she returned to nonprofit leadership roles, where she served until 2022.

Her work remains focused on the Pacific Northwest nonprofit community, offering fundraising counsel to individuals and on advocacy issues that matter to Washington State.

Outside of work, Erin volunteers with and supports a number of nonprofit and community organizations. A fourth-generation Washingtonian who grew up in Yakima, she draws inspiration from her husband Dave, their three children and the many animals on their North Bend farm. You’re most likely to find her hiking, biking, canoeing, riding horses or skiing.
